Rome Packing has strategically aligned our business with direct resource harvesters of North Atlantic sea clams and wild American jonah crab (also caught in the cold North Atlantic waters).
As a primary processor of these popular shellfish items, Rome has a daily supply of the freshest domestic product on the market. This is why our fully-prepared stuffed clams and crab cakes are so popular at food retailers where they are marketed under the store brand name or sold unbranded in the fresh seafood case. Our recipes feature only the finest ingredients are a made and shipped daily to retail stores and restaurants.
Our Stuffed Clam recipe includes 38% fresh, clam meat, resulting in a better tasting, superior quality product than the mass-produced frozen stuffed clam products. Three varieties are available: Traditional, Casino-Style and Porutuguese (made with chourico).
We also offer Stuffed Scallops in three varieties: Scallops Lorraine, Coquilles St. Jacques, and Stuffed with Shrimp & Scallops. Oysters Rockefeller are also available.
Rome Gourmet Crab Cakes are made from a recipe calling for 85% local, wild Jonah Crab meat. It's a premium offering and every bite is full of tender, delicious crab meat.
